Tile and grout cleaning in Ventura

Maid VIP estimate: about $0.50–$3 per square foot

Services fulfilled by our affiliated service partner, Maid VIP.

Tile and grout cleaning: a bathroom floor, every grout line scrubbed.

Tile and grout cleaning machine-scrubs ceramic and porcelain tile on floors, showers and counters, and the grout lines between them, then rinses and extracts what it loosens. Grout is porous, so it soaks up soil and the minerals that hard water leaves behind. Natural stone such as travertine needs gentler products and is priced on its own.

In a Ventura home

Ventura Water’s 2026 report gives three very different numbers. Lake Casitas water averaged 263 mg/L of hardness and Ventura River water 437, and both mainly serve west and midtown Ventura. Groundwater from three basins averaged 637 mg/L and mainly serves east and midtown Ventura. All three are very hard on the U.S. Geological Survey scale, which starts at 181, but east-side showers face the hardest water.

Tile and grout cleaning: questions

What does tile and grout cleaning cost in Ventura?

Typical national cost range, not a quote: $0.50–$3 per square foot, with a $100–$200 call-out minimum at some companies, or $300–$500 for a room of 150 to 250 square feet; cleaned and sealed $1.50–$2.50 per square foot. Maid VIP estimate: about $0.50–$3 per square foot. Nobody publishes a Ventura average; Maid VIP confirms the price before any work.

Is it worth sealing grout once it is clean?

Cement grout is porous, so a sealer slows how fast soil and minerals soak back in; Fixr puts a standard grout sealant at $0.90 to $1.73 per square foot. Epoxy grout doesn’t need one. The cleaner checks the grout before suggesting either.

Is travertine cleaned the same way as ceramic tile?

No. Acidic cleaners, the usual answer to mineral film on ceramic tile, etch travertine and marble, so stone can’t be cleaned like ceramic: it needs stone-safe products and is priced on its own.
